The Website Only Accepts PDF but You Have Photos — Here's What to Do

You've got clear photos of your documents on your phone. You go to upload them and the form says, flatly: PDF only. It's one of the most common little roadblocks online, and the fix is genuinely quick once you know it.

Why forms insist on PDF

A PDF is predictable. It opens the same way on every device, keeps the pages in a fixed order, and can hold several pages in one file. A folder of loose JPGs is none of those things — which is why offices and portals standardised on PDF. So the ask isn't unreasonable, it's just annoying in the moment.

Turning photos into a PDF

Open JPG → PDF. Add all your photos — it accepts JPG, PNG and WebP, and you can mix them. Each image becomes one page. Drag them into the order the form expects (front of the ID before the back, page 1 of the letter before page 2), then convert and download. That's the whole thing.

The images go in at their original resolution, so nothing gets softer or fuzzier than your original photo.

Take the photos well and it'll look official

The conversion is only as good as the picture. Two quick habits make a huge difference:

• Shoot in good, even light and lay the document flat, so there are no shadows across the text.
• Fill the frame with the document and keep the camera parallel, not at an angle.

A straight, well-lit photo becomes a PDF page that looks scanned rather than snapped.

After converting
